Hi there! Chris here, from Aeva AI receptionists for healthcare.
This week I got a message that still gives me goosebumps.
It wasn’t just another note about how Aeva helped someone. It was a message that confirmed everything we’ve been building toward for the past two years.
The message:
A partner at a global VC firm rang her physio to reschedule an appointment. No one picked up at first as they must have been busy, but then to her surprise, an AI receptionist picked up the phone.
It greeted her by name, pulled up her appointment, rescheduled it, and wrapped the call before she even had a chance to think about what was happening.
After the call finished, she was so surprised that a small practice had something this advanced, she emailed the clinic just to ask what the hell they were using. Then, she found us.
“Hi Chris,
I came across Aeva when I called my physio to reschedule my appointment. No one picked up and I was sent to Aeva, and I was blown away by how she knew my name (from my number) and how quick she was to find my appointment and change it for me. I was both impressed by the quality of her, but also the fact that my tiny physio was using AI!
I emailed the clinic to ask who they were using, and they had glowing reviews about you guys. If you're open to it, I'd love to have a chat about Aeva and hear about about your vision for the company.”
This exact vision is the very reason I started Aeva.
Sure, an in house receptionist is likely going to be more personable over calls than an AI receptionist. But for most practices these days, this doesn’t make sense anymore.
Why receptionists/practices should only handle necessary calls - and let AI handle the rest:
Receptionists’ time is not cheap, so why allocate it to repetitive calls that could be handled by a more affordable system. Instead re-allocate their time to higher value activities.
If you have a life, you probably don’t want to be spending your evenings returning or picking up calls. AI can pick up all calls 24/7 and let you know about important ones.
In person matters - being on the phone when patients are in front of you or mid consultations is just unprofessional and sends the wrong message.
It all goes back to the very reason Aeva exists:
so you never miss a call again. ever.

The AI receptionist boom is so close now
Currently practice owners using AI receptionists are in the ‘early adopters’ group.
I believe 2026 is where we will see AI receptionists hit the ‘early majority’.
However this wont just be in healthcare, you will start finding them across almost all industries. And honestly, the thought really excites me.
The moment when AI receptionists aren’t just “nice to have,” but expected. Is when customer service is going to be taken to new levels across the board.
I am glad to have you with us at the forefront of this journey
Now, back to the workshop for me. We have new features to build!
Onwards,
