I didn’t come from a healthcare background.
I came from real estate, where I made 20,000+ cold calls myself, understood exactly how a great phone interaction feels, and what makes a bad one painful.
That hands‑on experience taught me something simple: humans should never be doing predictable calls manually when tech can do them better, faster and more consistently.
However, I do believe that AI will never replace certain real‑world interactions. Greeting patients with a smile. Helping someone up steps. Calming a worried parent. That’s real life. And we’re not building tech to take that away. We’re building tech to preserve it.
What we’ve learned about patients talking to AI:
When callers know they’re speaking to an AI, they drop the small talk and want the task done. They prefer quick, accurate, efficient conversations. And that’s exactly what we’re obsessing over.

Where we started and where we’re heading
July 2024 - February 2025
We built Aeva from ground up. Custom for every clinic. Weeks to onboard. No dashboard. Almost no settings. One user at a time.
March 2025
Launched our first SaaS version. Clinics could take us on, customise their AI receptionist, and go live faster than ever.
March 2025 - December 2025
Word spread fast & our mission gets recognised: to make it the most reliable, realistic and customisable AI receptionist for private healthcare. 1,000+ practitioners now rely on Aeva daily.
2026 and beyond
We’re not slowing down:

Multilingual conversations. Allowing more patients to speak to Aeva.
Faster responses. Even more natural, personable, human‑sounding interactions.
New integrations. Nookal, Splose, Gensolve, Halaxy and more. Bringing Aeva to more clinics.
Aeva = Pays dividends well beyond the cost
I believe that great companies earn their place by giving immense value, far greater than the price of their product.
That’s exactly our philosophy with Aeva too.
We want practitioners to have access to world class technology (which usually is only accessible to enterprise companies for $10’s of thousands) and make it available for just a few hundred.
Next month, we’re introducing something we’ve been building for months: Aeva Outbound (more in my previous email about this here). It gives clinics the ability to make outbound AI calls to patients, assisting with check ins, driving new bookings and rescheduling practitioner sick days.
Adding to Aeva’s value, I’m so happy to announce that this system will be included for all of our customers at no additional cost and will be part of the current Aeva plans.
Here’s what I’ve realised.
We’re not building “just another AI tool.” We’re redefining how private clinics interact with their patients and manage their front desk. The front desk is the beating heart of the clinic. If it’s overwhelmed or ignored, the whole system falls apart.
Aeva’s job is to be boringly brilliant at that. Always on, always accurate, always respectful.
Voice AI is moving fast. Every month, new breakthroughs drop. Faster natural language understanding, more real-time data syncing, more personality.
2026 is going to be about closing that gap even further, improving our AI receptionist even more, to make clinic life easier.
